TAVIS Logo To Be Painted By Youth Graffiti Artists Working With Crime Stoppers On BMX Ramps For torontobmxjam2010 Saturday February 27,2010 12:30pm-4:00pm 52 mccaul St, Toronto The public and media are invited to the art gallery at 52 mccaul St to watch youth graffiti artists “Haul” “Fario” and “Bear1″ “Rade” paint a graffiti community building style TAVIS logo on BMX bike ramps that will be showcased at the torontobmxjam2010 Mar 5,6,7 at the Toronto International Bike Show. Some of the artists involved are completing extra judicial sanctions for court imposed restorative justice work due to arrests for illegal graffiti tagging The artists will also be painting a sourfever.com original piece that celebrates the success of top Toronto BMX rider Chris Silva’s success working in partnership with the Toronto Crime Stoppers Youth Program and the city of Toronto Parks Forestry and Recreation Dept. The graffiti and BMX projects continue to be an integral part of building positive relationships between Toronto Police Service officers, youth, and improving knowledge and trust of the Crime Stoppers Program.
